“But remember, Syria isn’t our business and they’ll have to slaughter a lot more than 70,000 of their own people before we step into that quagmire to save th’ day…”What is any other nation on Earth planning to do about Syria? Why are we the world’s police force?
Bok does it again….perfect analysis of O’s exposed muddle-headed fact-ignoring foreign policy.-Tigger said, about 4 hours ago “Where are Syria and Libya?”-Syria is Iran’s Puppet State, busy slaughtering its own citizens to keep the current power over the military and the nuclear arms.-Libya is a “new government” amidst rubble and near anarchy, that the Obama administration is trying to “buy” with aid ala Egypt long ago….now “liberated” from the restrictions that accompany US aid monies, by the root and cause of Violent Jihad, the Muslim Brotherhood, using “democracy Arab style” to obtain Gains for Sharia Law in Egypt and beyond.
Lockheed Martin, Raytheon, Boeing, General Electric, General Dynamics, Halliburton; the folks really wearing those black cloaks and carrying the sythes, that THEY sell.
Do you idiots really not understand that he was talking about war like invading Iraq and Afghanistan? The droning and special ops missions will continue.
Syria is a civil war, Hezbollah, and Al-Qaeda are both mired in it. Fortunately pitted against each other. Trying to interject will not be beneficial for national security. it will meerly cause these groups to rear their collective head.
Iran is in a state of collapse / vacuum. Fortunately more reformist presidential candidates may be given a shot. if not predict an economic collapse and continuing exodus of population
As usual, most of the commentators here are not aware of the world outside of the USA, even though they talk about it. You need to be aware that an arms embargo to Syria has been lifted. The UK and the EU will be shipping arms to the rebels – as soon as they can determine who the rebels are. (I’m not making that up.) In my opinion, it is intended to minimise the World Police role of the USA.http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-22684948
If you stop pouring the drinks, they really do go home eventually. Chip would rather replay the “arming the Taliban so they’ll like us” game or maybe swap some arms for hostages, but that’s not really how it works in the world outside the talk radio bubble.
