This must be what they call irony.

It doesn’t look like he actually shoveled anything. As I recall from other strips, I think his job is to shovel just the walk.

I used to be like this with snowshovelling, too.

Hobbes took the day off. Perhaps for a quick visit to his buddies in Detroit or Cincinnati.

If he actually understands his own words, he shouldn’t do manual labor. He should be in college.

Calvin doesn’t need help with snow. It is his favorite medium.

Get back in to making snowmen! Start in the lawn, about ten feet from the walk, then as you roll the snowball down the walk, presto! Clean sidewalk!Repeat several times for the driveway.All clear, and several snowmen.

We’re reading Anthem by Ayn Rand now in English class. We just finished Animal Farm, and it was great.
