EH! I’ve watched the price of Gas drop all week at Wal-Mart ( $3.09 this morning ) . The only high prices I’ve seen is the price for Beef and Natural gas , Fuel Oil is still below $3.00 here in Maine!

The U.S. trade deficit in goods and services in 2020 was the HIGHEST 2008 and INCREASED 40.5% from 2016.#3; The number of people lacking health insurance ROSE by 3 million.#4; The federal debt held by the public went up, from $14.4 trillion to $21.6 trillion.
People far too often like to give blame or credit to the current government for things that are really beyond their control. (this goes for people on both sides)
People love to blame the current government when the economy goes down, and take credit when the economy goes up.
Joe is not at all responsible for inflation. That would have happened exactly the same if Trump had won. The economy is international, and the forces that are making this happen are bigger than the Federal government.
What Joe is responsible for is how he responds to the inflation. What measures he puts in place to protect Americans from the impending inflation. Go ahead and critique him on that.
The thing about the GQP and their supporters: They believe in the principle of The Big Lie… in which if you repeat a calumny long enough, even people who KNOW better start to act like it’s true. Unlike the Democrats who believe in telling a difficult and fractious truth, by preference… and if not, then one little lie at a time.
Greedy corporations are keeping the container ships out of port to create the illusion there is a shortage. That is how they scam the working poor and jack up profits. In today’s America, corporate greed controls everything, including the huge profits that are rolling in and congress is in on it also. We have the best politicians the rich can bribe, thanks to citizens united.

Presidential policy CANNOT CREATE INFLATION. It’s a mathematical and logical impossibility, because he simply doesn’t have that power over corporations that the prices they choose to charge the consumers.
This problem is straight out of Wall Street, the Big Banks, Big Tech and Megacorps. And they are the ones with the power to end it.
Too bad they’re too greedy, hateful and contemptuous of “The Little People” ( or as they call us, The Suckers) to actually want to do what’s fully within their power to do and cut Inflation off at the wick.
Nice try. Inflation came about because of factors that started in the Trump Administration. Companies overbought goods to maintain sales during the pandemic (in 2020, while Trump was POTUS). The pandemic closed down distribution which meant those supplies didn’t make it to market. American citizens binge bought what was available creating additional shortages.
Prices increased because of the shortages. Supply has yet to catch up.
Also, note that corporations recorded record profits during 2021. What you call inflation is actually price gouging by corporations.
Biden is being smart and letting the market play itself out doing what he can. After all, the President doesn’t set prices.
