A little obscure for those of us who don’t know anything about Portland. How many Portlands are there, anyway?

Portland, Seattle, or Vancouver BC – all the same. . It rains & sprinkles. There is the Scotch Mist. drizzle & smattering of rain and deluges. Don`t forget the downpours affectionally known as monsoon. ….. .In Vancouver if you can`t see the North Shore Mountains – then its raining. If you can see them – then it will be raining. …. in about 5 minutes. .When the skies clear and the sun shines…..its t-shirt, sandals and smile time. ….. Mountains sure do look pretty with the snow.

Jeez…. Summers are beautiful in Portland. Sunshine, no rain for months, temperatures in the 80-90s. New York City gets more precipitation on average during the year than Portland, OR. Look it up.

I lived in Oregon for a while when I was a kid, the weather sucked.

Guess I was lucky. Spent three hours in Portland, Ore in 1955 to get off a local and board the Shasta Daylight.

FWIW, if you just enter the single name “Portland” into Google Maps it takes you to Portland, OR, but if you pull down the menu, it gives you Portland, Maine as an alternate choice.

Ironically the weather in Portland (OR) has been pretty nice, if cold. Unseasonably sunny!
