The “Eye of the needle” is supposedly a gate in the wall of old Jerusalem that was small and narrow. It was opened at night after the main gate was closed and a camel could only pass through it if it stooped down or knelt. Getting a camel to do that is a fairly difficult proposition. Supposedly this passage wasn’t meant to mean that you couldn’t go to heaven if you were wealthy, but that it would be very difficult.
There is no proof apparently that this gate exists, thought the claim of its existence goes back several centuries.
