At the beach, Gene asks Arlo, "Hey, Dad, how far is that little motel we used to stay at?" Arlo answers, "The one Mary Lou's father runs?" Gene nervously says, "No! I mean, I guess.." Gene remarks, "I'd forgotten about that!" Arlo says, "You just want to see lime-green shag carpet once more before you die."
And the chance encounter from a little boy’s past, Long buried in his mind, re-emerges with possibilities and yearnings for new experiences… which will change his life.
