In my parent's world, his parents would approach mine, and livestock would be exchanged. Edda: Very romantic. Edda: And ultimately, according to custom, his parents pay mine a large sum of money. Woman: They buy you? Edda: My mother thinks of me as beyond price. Woman: You're free? and you act as if my customs sound tawdry.
