This day can really go to a cartoonist’s head.

Yeah, just call it “five of May” because that’s really good grammar. (It’s not correct in Spanish, either.)

Well, why not both?

You should go to the festival even if they don’t serve your favorite food they will recognize you oh this is the funny actor from Foxtrot who is the patriarch of the family.

I don’t understand why in the United States a celebration for a holiday is revered, when where the event happened it’s not observed.

Today’s missing classic is gocomics.Com/foxtrot/2003/05/11 Does copy/paste work better for you? I find just using the date changer at the bottom work just as well.

Yesterday was May the Fourth be with you, but beware, today is Revenge of the Fifth.

“Cinco De Mayo” is the name of a locally owned Mexican food restaurant chain. Several locations and some very fine food. They are closed on Sundays…

I wonder why they say Cinco de Mayo or 5th of May instead of Mayo Cinco May 5th like we do.

Isn’t that the annual holiday where mayonaise makes their shelf-life time migration to the sink to expire, you know, like the salmons spawning?

Well then, Happy Cartoonist’s Day, Bill! :D Thank you for creating one of my most favorite and beloved comics of all time. Foxtrot is the best. Also, I devoured your new book (preordered MONTHS ago) in one sitting. Couldn’t wait to read it. I so miss the dailies!

Gee, I thought it was just a cute cartoon. I will never understand why so many people try to create create controversy for nothing. Especially when they are undereducated regarding the subject. Learn some history and research the true meaning of the holiday, and why it is a big deal to Mexicans here in the U.S. Oh, and tons of non-Mexican folks really love the holiday also.
