No, she takes that for granted. Dana works harder than anyone else, and makes the least.

You’d have to read back farther than the archives go. CJ has a vendetta against Ed. When she was first hired, she admired his attitude and tried to follow his example. She got written up and reprimanded, while he continues to get raises. He also won a lottery, but comes in for a paycheck anyway. So Ed is not her favorite person.

Let that be a lesson to everyone entering the work force. You come in and work hard every day and give 110%, that will be expected of you everyday. Do things rarely and then when you do actually do your job, you get rewarded. Sad but true

When I was very young and entering the workforce, my Grandfather strongly advised me to always give more than they ask for or expect. In hindsight, I recall that Grandpa was never financially successful, and held a lot of different jobs over the years. Do what he says, and they just take advantage of you and assume you’ll do all that and more- for their benefit, of course.

In the postal service, the harder you worked, the more they would add on to your route when it was adjusted. You can handle it for a few years, but age takes its toll, and pretty soon you are written up or harassed for not making it back before going into overtime. On the other hand, I have never seen Ed break a sweat, at least from working at MMM.

There was a story on the NBC national news last night about a guy with the longest rural postal route in America, with 200 deliveries spread out over about 200 miles. This guy may have originally started with a 40 or 50 mile long route in the beginning.
