    Would I be far from the truth, if I suggested that perhaps you might be telling the smallest of fibs, John?

    Am I the only one who heard Bill Cosby’s voice in that “Riiiiiight.”?

    @MrJimCos… I almost said “as Bill Cosby would say,” but I wasn’t sure if anyone else would remember Bill’s comedy. That man was really funny (he still is), and his stories were hilarious.

    I grew up on Cosby records. We played them A LOT. Learned a lot of what I know about comedy from The Cos.

    @Thomas Scott Roberts,
    Hmmm… two favorites: Driving in San Francisco (St Peter won’t let you into heaven if you tell him “Me and a Volkswagon drifted backwards into the bay.”); Noah (“How long can you tread water?”).
    That album was great!

    The Cos did a TV special once in the late 60’s. The first half was great- just him on stage doing his routines. The second half was a disappointment. They adapted the Noah sketch with costumes, sets and other actors. It showed just how powerful the imagination can be, because that’s all Cosby needed: his telling and your listening. All the rest was Hollywood frills that spoiled the magic.
