    Also 57 Varieties.
    I see Rita traded in her water bottle for a handful of paperwork.

    What’s the game? Why the phony reprint with the Northanger Abbey element?

    Just an odd diversion from the normal. These aren’t the droids you’re looking for.

    Besides, didn’t the Woolworth building have elevators? I seem to remember elevators, the one time I was in it.

    Rita has not aged well at all.
    Jay did make it all the way up to the 57th floor. That’s got to count for something, Rita.

    @TheDOCTOR....

    You’re thinking of time in reverse. She didn’t have the bottle yet. I added that element. Clearly, Hogar saw her as more of an ogre figure.

    @The Awakener

    We ran short this week, and were tired of reprinting only recent strips.

    On the contrary, since this is an older strip, she’s gotten better with time.

    He must not have the executive elevator key for easy access to the top few floors.

    This was quite a surprise this morning. Very cool.

    It’s work. Some jobs are great. A lot of other jobs can make you feel like you are running through a mouse maze.

    1914? Wow, I hadn’t realized that the strip was that old!

    Yeah we need to give Scott a day or two off now and then (especially now that we are doing Sundays).

    @

    We ran a history of the strip in the book collection HARDLY WORKING.

    Who is “Hat” Hogar, and why does this style remind me of “Out Boarding House”?

  14. Jerry Dunham

    Jerry Dunham said, about 2 years ago

    That was supposed to be “Our Boarding House”.

    @Jerry Dunham

    That scratchy style was just common back in the early years of comics.
