Actually there was a (proposed) series called “The Rikers” that was used a gag in interviews for a while.
Frakes & Marina had a lot of fun with it.
(But actually have you seen how much work he’s been getting as a Director? LeVar too!)

Yes the Next Generation probably the worst of all of the reboots. Even Enterprise was better than that version. No action just talking = boring

I sort of agree. The “kindler, gentler” image of TNG was Roddenberry’s doing, who wanted an idealized version of TOS. In my eye, that made seasons 1-2 very stilted, boring and sometimes laughable. The Ferengi were to replace the Klingons as the big bad, for goodness sakes. But the show improved quickly after the soft reboot in Season 3.

That being said, DS9 was a very underrated show.

Actually, Levar is presently voicing resident confused (not mad, just confused) scientist Doc Greene on “Transformers: Rescue Bots”.
    []
His “pet” is an animatronic T-rex named Trex who he programmed to fetch his coffee and to do the Macarena.
    []
Other actors include Maurice LaMarche as Chief Burns (the police chief for the island where the show is set) and Tim Curry as recurring villain Dr. Morocco.

I guess I’m in the minority when I say I loved TNG. To each their own.

I loved it too, I loved the original at the time, but TNG had so much better plots, effects and acting.
I liked DSN also and Voy was ok but a let down really.

I always wanted the LinS crew to eventually reach
Earth..and stay put. Even if it was the Earth in the
    ’60’s’…

I think they were the pair of Klingon lovelies…

Admittedly speaking as an avowed Trek non-fan, DS9 was way better than all the other versions for my money (literally, I actually bought the box sets…)
