    @Ms. Ima

    The tea-baggers have never forgiven the French for being RIGHT about Iraq. ( While they were wrong. )

    Yeah taking hostages, Islamic Terroist and the fact that there are still tens of thousands of French in Mali. No the French have no business there.

    Sorry but you don’t know what the Tea Party cares about. The Tea Party didn’t even exist when we went into Iraq and did not exist until after 2008 so please quit making stuff up.

    I TOTALLY AGREE.
    The world ran itself for Millenia without the US sticking its nose in to others business.

    Would said “millennia” include WWI & WWII? I’m strongly opposed to our current “role” as worldcop, but there have been isolationist excesses in our past
    It’s sad that the French have been sucked into this one. The problem, of course, is religion. Again.

    France’s invasion caused the hostage taking! So you are an interventionist too? I’m not, not with arms anyway.

    The “Tea Party” (not a party) are just more rarefied Republicans no more. Just the balls to the wall fanatics is all.

    Well you are entitled to your opinion. That being said but what are you talking about. First they are not a party, no news there, First they are rarefied Republicans just means they are a rare group of them, then no more which means they don’t exist anymore. Then you say they do exist because they are Fanatics.

    The French have learned to pick their fights, fights they know they can win.

    Unlike some countries I could mention.

    Seldom do I agree w/Mr.Ima (he’s often quite rabid), or any Republican, for that matter.. However, the U.S. has been “the necessary nation” in some cases.

    More importantly, the U.S. has inherited the aftermath of the British, French, Spanish,and other European Empires. We are still trying to achieve a “soft landing” , after a “flight” of 500 years.As certain self-righteous Canadians well know, but for some reaso.seem reluctant to admit.

    Nice to see France step up and try clean up a mess they created a long time ago.

    They’re just chasing them around the Sahel so they can surrender to them. Like when they helped those pesky revolutionaries in the Americas, helped them surrender to the British. Bleeding surrender monkeys.
    I’m going to rename my chips, er… french fries to Sahell fries.
