Change involves turmoil. All nations have uprisings in their history, with few exceptions Ima! America, France, Russia,China,South Africa and Mexico all had great revolutions. We glory in America’s grand history, but it came at great expense to Native Americans, African slaves, Chinese laborers, etc. It’s so easy to be critical of other countries. Arab Spring may be a good event ,or simply the start of something that ends up as a repackaged dictatorship, or military rule. Who can say.

Why are lovers of liberty (snerk) like you so against the revolt against tyranny that the Arab Spring represents?

egypt never has a democratic society. ruled by pharoahs, greeks, persians, turks, romans, arabs, british, and home grown dictators. every attempt for a democratic society has been met with great resistance and power hungry groups/individuals.

He’s against any Arab government that doesn’t repress its people to keep things nice and quiet so the oil can keep flowing cheap.
