I’m betting it was “The Arizona Balloon Buster”, Frank Luke.

@wndrwrthg
But why would he shoot at a British balloon?
(Even if it is a German woman in the basket)

Bet that Vicky will disown her grandson, the Kaiser!

Vicky always said the Kaiser needed a good spanking.

The Red Baron never shot down any balloons, but quite a few other German fighter pilots did.

Snoopy, you were supposed to save her!

Good thing it wasn’t a hydrogen filled balloon. Queen Vic has plenty of hot air so it should be a soft landing.

lol . . . no one was more bombastic and arrogant than the Kaiser – except when he was around his ‘grandmama’ . . . then he was all dutiful and sheepish. If Victoria had lived long enough, a few good scoldings of ‘Willy’ might have prevented the Great War !
