    I can only assume that Ima has never actually travelled beyond the borders of your narrow minded little state. Politicians in the US take mudslinging to the extreme – in the UK, political parties are not allowed to run negative advertising, and political debate is not allowed to be personal.

    Yes, some of us in the UK would like to see Obama re-elected – a recent poll showed that, of those of us who are aware that there is a presidential election coming up, Obama was favoured by 10 to 1.We would rather have a sensible, slightly liberal president who actually likes and respects foreign countries than a right-wing, religious, xenophobic nut like Romney.

    Contrary to what some of you Americans seem to believe, the vast majority of people in Britain don’t care who wins your local election.

    Yeah, shame on us for wanting there still to be a world in existence in which we can elect our own right wing dolt in 2015…

    The best argument against democracy is a five-minute conversation with the average voter.

    @Ms. Ima

    I suppose they remember Mitt saying the UK couldn’t manage an Olympics. Wrong as he always is, but of course we American don’t remember anything that happened more then week ago. I guess that is our democracy in action?

    If they remember his saying that, they’re hallucinating. But I guess to some people, expressing reservations about something is indistinguishable from being against it.

    As far as the U.S. Presidential election is concerned I’m voting for the guy who wrote a book and went to Harvard.

    Unfortunately in the US we have to vote for the least of evils.

    Vote Gary Johnson, Libertarian. Enough with the Dempublicans.

    I guess the author and ewalnut have not looked at a ballot in a long time because in Texas, for the last two Presidential elections, there have been Green and Libertarian candidates on the ballot in just about every office, including the Presidency.

    If Romney wins, we can all look forward to another war between the United States and England.

    Gary Johnson is insane. Vote for Jill Stein, Green Party.
