Which is the reason female cats will not put out for every Tom Dick ’n Harry.

@samhuff – I doubt that. Have you ever seen a cat in heat acting out around male cats?

Correct. On top of that, I’m reminded of an old Carson clip. The incident itself apparently has not survived; but the follow-up of Jane Fonda pointing out the incident to Johnny used to get played yearly and is now part of the Carson collections you can buy on DVD (I think I still have the original VHS version). In the clip, Fonda tells Carson that her son (who I take it was really too young to be staying up to watch Carson at the time) saw Zsa Zsa Gabor on the show the night before. She walked out on stage carrying a cat. As she sat down, Fonda said, Gabor supposedly asked Carson, “Would you like to pet my pussy?” Carson, Fonda said, replied, “Sure, if you’d just move that damn cat.” Carson never really owned up to the exchange — but he sure looked like he’d been caught by his teacher and sent to the principal’s office.

Would a 2 Live Crew reference be appropriate at this point?
