In 1956 Nakita Kruscheif said that That the Soviet Union would bury us (America) from within. The Soviet Union is no more but they just handed the shovel over to our Government to do it to ourselves.
Get OVER it! We’ve ALWAYS had the shovel, and we’ve tried several times to bury ourselves. Slavery/Civil War. The Gilded Age/Robber Barons. The Roaring Twenties/Great Depression. Since the Civil War, we keep forgetting that business is ALWAYS focused on the bottom line, NOT what’s good for the country! It’s taken STRONG leadership: Both Roosevelts and Obama, to try to pull us out. And EACH time they have gotten strong opposition to those who are beholden to Big Business. I hope the Republicans can remove their heads from wherever they are and realize we are all in this together!
