Art holds a mirror up to Nature. The Buckets come along, turn the mirror on Art and say, “Look how goofy you’re acting. Now get to work, Art. Your kids need an Xbox 360.”
The Buckets comic strip isn’t a parody of family life. Parodies are filled with hearts and rainbows or enraged tirades and dramatic confrontation. The Buckets, though? Nope. Real life, baby. It’s funny because it’s on a page and not in your house at the moment. Next week, when it’s happening to you, you’ll thank us for reminding you that it’s supposed to be funny.
Greg Cravens looks in the mirror and see not himself, but all of us. And then he draws up the silly, grand, goofy, thrilling, utterly human things we do and calls it The Buckets.

I have never seen it accidentally or on purpose. I only know about it because the media chose to mention it.

And fot those of you who haven’t – be afraid. Be very afraid . . .

Unfortunately I found out about it when some people were talking about it at work. That is something I could have been happy never hearing of it!

The other night there was nothing worth watching on TV so my wife and I actually watched Honey Boo Boo. They got lost in a corn maze, and that was pretty much it. The interesting thing is that this all takes place in the USA but they still put subtitles at the bottom of the screen. That is how badly these people speak (I guess) English.

I’ve never watched it either but someone must. I don’t want to know those people.

I know people who watch Honey Boo-Boo. Even friends with her fan page on Facebook. All female. So sad

I have watched part of an episode. It’s like a train wreck-you can’t stop.
