   I know a 14 year old who used to ‘earn’ his allowance by doing chores around the house, family ran into hard times and couldn’t afford to have him earn his allowance and he refuses to do any chores now.

   However as if Brutus could talk much, he never seems to finish much of what he starts both at home and at work and seems to do a have arse job at work.
