Transcript:
After reading one too many Ayn Rand novels, Nathan takes conservative principles to heart. (Nathan: Poverty doesn't cause despair- despair causes poverty!) Valiantly resisting the siren call of dependency, he rejects Marxist-inspired class determinism. (Man: Let's drink up our food stamps!) (Woman: Get me pregnant!) (Nathan: No can do- got a job interview.) He alters his attitude, demeanor, and appearance to conform to societal standards. (Nathan: Look like the man... feel like the man... be the man.) Upward mobility is inevitable! (Nathan: %$#@ still poor.)
