   Amazing how far sports safety awareness has come in my lifetime !
   I remember when no hockey players wore helmets, baseball players didn’t have batting helmets, football players helmets had a single bar for a face guard and even when I played soccer, we didn’t wear shin guards.

   That’s when there were short players like Bob Cousy ( 6’1" according to the Celtics P.R. dept. but probably only 5’11" ).
