    It seems to me that cuniform would be easier for a computer to read than cursive (remember that) or printing.

    There were attempts to create written languages for computer recognition back in the 70s. Since they were geared to the slow, limited machines of the day, they have long since fallen to the wayside. And early PDAs using “Graphitti”(sp?) shorthand. Recognition of printed writing is getting better and some are working on cursive, mostly for the challenge.

    But can it read a doctor’s handwriting? I have on boss whose handwritng was so bad, I accused him of going to medical school to learn cursive.
