With Strange Brew, Deering -- famous for his biting humor and political savvy as chief editorial cartoonist for the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette -- has an outlet for his creative sense of humor and quirky view of life.
"Being an editorial cartoonist today, you have to be tuned-in to pop culture as well as politics -- but there are some limits to what you can do," Deering says "In Strange Brew, everything’s fair game. I get to cut loose and draw anything."

No, it’s genuine.

I don’t know … I like Two and a half men’ … at least, when Charlie Sheen was the star.
I agree about the reality tv part, though.

What is it with some people who always pretend to be more stupid that they are?

The people of “Cougar Town” aren’t stupid. Alcoholics, yes, but not stupid.

The people who watch this type of trash we are not too sure about, though…..

It’s too bad “stupid” isn’t painful.

Yep – that show was funny when Charlie was on it – now it is just sad and stupid.

Did you ever hear any country music?

“Survivor” has long taken first place here, then came the copycats. I’ve only seen a very brief clip of “HOney boo boo”, and that was enough to realize that things have gone downhill drastically.

Not my scene, I’m afraid.

Agreed. The characters are completely different and Chuck Lorre should have ended it last year, maybe bringing Charlie back from the dead or some dream episode. It was shameful the way he was written out (and Anger Management is quite a bit cleverer).
Re Cougar Town? I liked it at first and after about two years I discovered pretty much all the character were unlikeable or annoying or both (Travis, the son, being the exception). I watch it out of habit now but pray for its cancellation.
When you hate watching everyone on a show, you start to hate the show (koff koff) 30 Rock (koff koff) and vow never to let this happen again. ONE bad character, OK. Maybe two. But not all. And with Cougar Town, getting Grayson and Jules together? BAD MOVE. Destroyed what likeability HE had as well. LOVED Courtney on Friends. HATE her in this show.
(Oh, and both her Friends co stars,Matt and Matthew, have better shows—-Episodes and Go On, respectively.)

Matt LaBlanc is just fabulous in “Episodes” and that whole show is just so well written. We have come to like "GoOn’ as well. Very well written with an interesting cast of characters to explore. Most stuff is downhill from there.
