With Strange Brew, Deering -- famous for his biting humor and political savvy as chief editorial cartoonist for the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette -- has an outlet for his creative sense of humor and quirky view of life.
"Being an editorial cartoonist today, you have to be tuned-in to pop culture as well as politics -- but there are some limits to what you can do," Deering says "In Strange Brew, everything’s fair game. I get to cut loose and draw anything."

I always liked weather forecast in “WKRP In Cincinnati”. The guy just went to the window. “Yep, it’s raining.”

It’s supposed to be the weather forecast not the weather we’ve got now.

Forecasters in Hawaii have the same problem. “72 degrees, mauka showers” will be dead right 90% of the time.

Chance of rain; a safe call everytime.

The weather pattern here in Northern CO for the month of July has always included afternoon and evening thundershowers, with some serious rains about once a week
Not this year when we’ve set a record for days over 90 degrees and practically no rain
Fall can’t come soon enough for me, I hate the heat

What I liked most about the daily showers in Hawaii was that the ground would be completely dry 10 minutes after it stopped raining.

From mid-June to mid-September in Southeast Virginia: Hazy, hot and humid with a chance of afternoon and evening thunder showers. That will do every day unless a hurricane heads this way.
