Transcript:
Stone Soup by Jan Eliot Holly: Mom? I'm going for a ride on Haley's brother's motorcycle, 'K? Val: Nope. Holly: He has an extra helmet! Val: Nope. Holly: He's 19. He has YEARS of experience. Val: Over. My. Dead. Body. STOMP STOMP STOMP Alix: What'd she say? Holly: That she'd think about it.
Val is being rather hypocritical…her husband rides every day. I’ve ridden nearly every day for 50 years and have never broken a bone on the street. So Val should have asked if the boy had boots, gloves, and a jacket for her, to go with that helmet. And what his riding record was. Tickets, accidents, etc.
