    Luci, you’re a Girl…you can’t be introduced to a Mall too soon! ;)

If they’d ever put her down for any length of time, she just might do it.

And I second Mouse’s sentiment: Girls and Malls go together! Hmm… wonder if Holly can convince Luci that going to the mall is a good thing?

Are you a shopkeeper or a mom who has to drive them?

I despise the mall. I live less than a mile from the biggest mall in my area and I go there once or twice a year—usually to help a male friend Christmas shop for his kids. I don’t collect shoes or purses. I think my “froo-froo ladies’ club” membership has been revoked!

I’m with you. I only go to the mall for the Lego store. :-)

Right there with ya, puggles. I hate malls. If I need clothes I’ll go to the nearby thrift store. And when I need shoes, they usually come from REI (on sale).

I’m with you, I own 4 pairs of shoes — heels, flats, snow boots, and sneakers. Only the snow boots aren’t black. The mall makes me cringe, I only go once or less a year. Nowadays I can get anything and everything I need online. I’m a woman that owns 4 pairs of shoes and two chainsaws, makes you think.

Don’t worry too much Sally when mom does finally put you down to play the urge will over take you and crawling does start, walking, and you will be a typical child mall shopping.

Just looked at “Marvin” in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. Looks as though he’s reaping the bitter results of learning to walk.

As long as her mom maintains her “one armed mom” standard, she won’t crawl.

    Of course not Lucci.

Sometimes rushing a kid into something doesn’t work out that well. Grandma got my mother working at a young age doing hard farm work. She was a hard worker they say. But she never worked again in her life.

In my opinion this is was the problem with Micheal Jackson and now with Lindsey Lohan. Everyone assumes they are raring to get back to work and use their great talents. But they’re actually not that interested in doing anything because they’ve already been challenged enough. They want to play now, which is something they’ve never had much of a chance to do growing up.

:-) You and Kid Sister are a pair. She does her own vehicle/motorcycle maintenance. Watching her drive a 5 yard dump truck is a hoot. She’s short so her working the pedals is a real world break dance. :-)

Kids need to be raised in such a way to HAVE ambitions – to want to achieve and be independent. That’s how I raised mine, but I was married at 21 and had 4 children in the next 5 years, divorced at 37 and then I got to have a career in engineering, starting as a drafter (with ambition and drive).

It is only now, in my 70s that I’d rather relax and work on all my hobbies and just enjoy.
