Move New Years to April. The working people I know could use a holiday between president’s day and Memorial Day.

After the new year is over work just two days then off for weekend. Most unemployed workers would like to have a job to go to.

Actually, New Year’s used to be April 1st, which makes a lot more sense to me. Flowers, warm weather, new lambs in the fold. THAT’s a New Year, not some dark, dreary time in the dead of winter.
