I thought vegans don’t eat anything without a face.

Val is acting like Holly is on another one of her ‘fads’ but kids are becoming more and more aware these days about where their food comes from. If she wants to be a vegetarian her mother should support her.

Agreed. If this is going to be a storyline about how, when Holly sees her family enjoying the turkey while all she gets are veggies, potatoes and cranberry sauce, she sneaks into the kitchen at night to cram her face full of meat, I will be very disappointed. I’m not a vegetarian, but I eat meat only once a week and instead go for more expensive quality from local free range farmers. It’s important to me that the meat I eat comes from an animal that had a good and natural life.

See, that’s the cool part about being the top of the food chain- you can eat anything you want!

So you eat animals that died of old age?

    Male Turkeys are called Toms.
    Females are called Hens.
    Young males are called Jakes.
    Young females are called Jennys.
    Plants die too.

As someone who decided to do vegetarian (vegan, but with a little Greek yogurt and such) for an entire year,
it IS AMUSING to see so many of the strips on GC doing vegan. Myself, I will be glad to finally have a moderate amount of meat and cheese back in my diet net February. I gave up alcohol at the same time last February and have NOT missed that nearly as much.

The ‘trials and tribulations’ of dealing with today’s pre-teen and teenagers. Glad that is all behind my wife and I. At least, our granddaughter(17)isn’t afflicted with feeling like Holly, she will eat turkey as well as anything her Mother fixes for a meal.
