   They’re going for a week. That requires a third seat just for Joan’s luggage.
   There’s a reason women have larger purses. When they go to a party they stuff in an extra dress and shoes just in case someone else wears something similar. Some extra accesories and makeup so she can change her look.

   He didn’t mention clean socks, underwear, pyjamas, toiletries, hat, sunglasses, camera, phone, phone charger, jacket (what season is it again?) etc, etc, etc. I hope he doesn’t expect all that to go in Joan’s bag!

   Why bother to pack a lot, when the airline will probably lose your luggage anyway.

   They’re going to Paris not Mexico. In Paris drinkk the wine and skip the water. Personal experience says that commando is 1.34 seconds faster to relief.

   My sister & I went on a MONTH long trip to Europe with only a carry-on bag EACH—and did extremely well!

    My mother actually packs like Wally. She went to Tokyo for two weeks with one suitcase. Even the customs agent asked “that’s all you have?” Granted, she was visiting her cousin from the US Dept. of Interior and her nephew in the US Navy who were both stationed there at the time, so they let her use their laundry facilities, but Mom has always traveled light.

    I can go about 8 days on what I can fit in a legal carry-on bag. I just need clean socks and clean underwear.
