Jan Eliot's funny and irreverent Stone Soup follows the saga of an extended, blended family, starring two working-mom sisters living just across the fence from each other. Val and Joan share life with their opinionated mother, a middle-school diva and 10-year-old tomboy, a reclusive teenage boy, a wild preschooler and his new baby sister...and of course Wally, the ultimate nice guy who steps into his stepdad shoes with grace amid the chaos. Working-parent hassles, pre-school tantrums, middle-school angst, love and the single mom... it's all here in Stone Soup.

Yes, it will. Now. If they can just keep it until Christmas…there are children involved, and this
is a family. This will be fun. :-)

Seems to be quite a bit of bragging for a town that couldn’t get a Major League Human Cannonball Team.

Personally I’d like one day to go to Kinderhook, New York. Yep, Kinderhook, New York—and see the land that was STOLEN from my family back in 1783! “Congress shall earnestly recommend to the various states to compensate . .” Over two centuries and we Loyalists are still waiting to hear back! Why doesn’t Congress ‘earnestly recommend’ paying off the freaking debt, then? No doubt “Oh, that’s different” is their excuse!

What ‘website’? I live here(Peoria) and I don’t know of any website. Also, what ‘exciting nitelife’ by the riverfront? Only thing there is ‘Catepillar Hqtrs’ and new ‘Riverfront Museum’.

“Peoria is home to numerous festivals, national and international sporting events, exceptional golf courses and world-class art and culture.”
Me, I live in Miami & haven’t been to a beach in about a year.

@ghostkeeper
Yeah, I feel your pain. I checked my genealogy, and the I’m the rightful king of France and Scotland. Please send me money, and I’ll pay all of you back when I recover my thrones and stuff.
