What ‘website’? I live here(Peoria) and I don’t know of any website. Also, what ‘exciting nitelife’ by the riverfront? Only thing there is ‘Catepillar Hqtrs’ and new ‘Riverfront Museum’.

@ghostkeeper, I live not far from Kinderhook, it’s a nice village, but there are plenty of equally nice places in Canada. I’ve spent a lot of time there this year as a reenactor and I’ve seen those tshirts….“Been there Won that!” When Loyalists fought us off in 1812, we finally got the message that invading wasn’t going to win your hearts and minds after the way you were treated 30 years earlier.

My daughter worked for Caterpillar for several years, and lived in West Outback,BFE. We kept going and going past Peoria until we thought we’d never get there! Peoria did have a nice riverfront restaurant and a riverboat casino, but my favorite place was a Mexican restaurant called Carlos O’Malley’s or something similar, which celebrated the Irish who fought for Mexico against the US. Interesting history, and GREAT food!
