Jan Eliot's funny and irreverent Stone Soup follows the saga of an extended, blended family, starring two working-mom sisters living just across the fence from each other. Val and Joan share life with their opinionated mother, a middle-school diva and 10-year-old tomboy, a reclusive teenage boy, a wild preschooler and his new baby sister...and of course Wally, the ultimate nice guy who steps into his stepdad shoes with grace amid the chaos. Working-parent hassles, pre-school tantrums, middle-school angst, love and the single mom... it's all here in Stone Soup.

She’s not on fire. Flexibility is nothing compared to being able to jam.

Holly is supposed to be how old? 14? 15? 16? She’s WAY too small compared to the trainer.. unless the trainer is a beanpole. And actually also to her mother. She’s still drawn as a 7 year old.. hey, – big-chief-in-cartoon-heaven-and-creator-of-them-all: …. can you fix that, please?

Nice try, Holly. Remember that the next time you give Alex a hard time!

In jr. high and high school basketball games are 32 minutes long — four 8=minute quarters.

Maybe that trainer is a super-tall basketball player—ever thought of that? :)

Yes.
You will LOVE basketball, Holly.
You will LOVE basketball because I"M TELLING YOU YOU WILL.
I am the COACH, and you are the PLAYER.
You will LOVE basketball. You will ENJOY it. Whether you want to or NOT.
Is that CLEAR?

Holly, my advice is to keep your mouth shut before the other kids trample you under their sneakers.
