Gramma Evie: I guess it's just a matter of time before the family discovers I came to Haiti on a one-way ticket. Arnold: Why didn't you just tell them? Gramma Evie: I guess I didn't want to have to EXPLAIN myself. Gramma Evie: Is that selfish? Arnold: You're sweating in the hot sun building houses for refugees. SELFISH doesn't come to mind.
Selfish? Maybe not. ‘Thoughtless’ is more like it. Like it or not she has a family that cares for her and she doesn’t care if she’s making them worry or what she’s putting them through. She’s acting like a teenager.
