Not ‘strangely’ so long as churches want to be anti-people and anti-reality and still all up in everyone’s business.

There is no god of course but to go along with the myth:
    ……………………………………………………………………
Later 3 wise women arrived with blankets, diapers and a car seat, 3 things that are much more useful to Mary.

Of course, you are speaking of YOUR church—

    The Church of Christo-Fascists.

Of course, that must be why science is a product of the devil. Most scientists are at least liberal if not the hated Democrats!

Scientists and engineers are only good when they are needed to make the necessary products of a modern civilization!

They certainly would not be needed to make an ultra conservative evangelistic right wing civilization. As such a civilization exists only up as far as the end of the 19th century, and this is the 21st century!

The three wise men were supposed to report back to Herod but they nixed that idea.

Actually the Three Wise Men must have been liberals, the CONservatives won’t give anything to anyone. That would be socialism, Marxism, freebie-“gifts” and welfare.
    .
I finally get it, Jesus was they way he was, caring for the poor and weak, because of all the “gifts” that were given to him. And the republicans are supposedly the “religious” party.

    @Adam Sperry

Please don’t make the mistake of believing all churches are the same. That is the same simplistic view that makes some religious people believe all atheists are the same. It is unproductive and betrays a close-mindedness that makes you little different from those very people you despise.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints worships the same God that most other Christians worship; we just don’t buy into the Creeds.

Ever heard the song “We Three Kings”?
    []
Each of the gifts had a specific significance to them.
    []
Gold was to signify his status as a monarch.
    []
Frankincense was to signify his status as a deity.
    []
Myrrh indicated that they knew how it was all going to end.
