That was some amazing video coming out of Russia. The Hollywood special effects people really did a good job of predicting what such an event would look like.
One of my neighbors retired from NASA recently. When I asked him what he thought of the flyby of the large asteroid Friday he said he hoped it would come closer than predicted to startle folks into action. I can’t wait to talk to him about the “boulder” sized rock we saw on video. The asteroid was 100s of times larger than the one in Russia.
My prayers and good wishes go out to those hurt by this incident and, like my neighbor, I hope it serves as a call to action to our world’s politicians.
I hope, but…history makes me cynical.
Respectfully,
C.

The Russians have their “truther” nutcases that say it was John Kerry testing a new weapon.

Well we have many here to believe Obama is a leader and still hope for a change. How is that not any farther out there?
Steve, Funny man, FUNNY, thank you for the giggle.

I liked the explanation as to why there were so many videos:
Russians run dash board cameras all the time to document the accident.

On Coast to Coast an American living in that Russian town said it appeared that automatic defensive missiles fired at the meteor, one of them possibly landing on the Zinc plant.
