And there was once a time when you could buy multiple pounds of chicken wings for pennies. (A little exaggerated, maybe)

@mikefive
When I worked for the butcher back in ‘73, you could buy wings for 17 cents a pound. Gas was around 37 a gal.
Now all I need is a cane and some kids to chase off of my yard.
Still leery of genetic engineering in a lab rather than on the farm/ranch. Too much sci fi tv maybe…or too many thought provoking news articles.

I’ll reply and confirm with you in the forum here.
I’m hoping, in lieu of a blog, to create a ‘roundtable’ of conservative and liberal moderates to find common ground between neighbors.
“winging it”…
but respectfully,

A farmer bred a 3 legged chicken so he could have more drumsticks for dinner.
When asked what they taste like he said “I don’t know, haven’t caught one yet.”

@Respectful Troll
You have good reason to be leery of genetic engineering. Geneticists once classed much of a genome as redundant or or junk and performs no function. They have slowly been finding out that the some of the “redundant and junk” portions of the genome actually do perform some function in the life cycle of an organism. Not a funny finding when you get unintended consequences after releasing a modified food item “into the wild”.

wings are the least desirable part of the chicken… see what a bunch of idiots setting around a TV watching football can accomplish!

Really? I believe that would be a matter of opinion.

Families need 4 drumsticks at the diner table for the kids. The Evolutionists have been working with Scientists and Corporate Money for decades on this goal. It is one thing to say it is a Natural Selection event and it is another to do it. And they cannot ask God for any hints, because they don’t believe.

A pound of chicken wings has much less meat (or even meat and skin) than a pound of chicken breasts, thighs, or legs. They may make a great snack (a matter of personal taste); but they are not economical, unless priced a lot less/pound than other parts.

I like chickens raised on corn wandering around the barn yard (now called free range). I remember coming from the west coast and visiting a friend on a dairy farm. They laughed when we had breakfast and the egg yokes were almost orange and I was tentative to eat them. "They all laughed and reassured me that “real chickens” don’t lay small yellow yoked eggs.

With all the genetic engineering and they haven’t been able to give a liberal a brain.
