In addition to forgiving $1 billion in Egyptian government debt, Obama is also working with the International Monetary Fund — largely funded by American taxpayers — to secure a $5-billion loan for the regime. This in addition to the $400 million he recently pledged to Egypt.
But that’s okay, right? It’s not like we need money here.
Meanwhile Egypt’s Arab Spring descends into an Islamist winter as Obama consistently misjudges the political ambitions of the Muslim Brotherhood.

The goodies we give to Egypt are the cost for having the most influential, most populated middle East state continue being nice to Israel. If we stop paying Egypt, Israel’s going to have to become a good neighbor to its neighbors, and FAST!
