Spot on, Skyler. Be balanced, not unbalanced like that… “coach” (anyone who screams at kids like that doesn’t deserve to be coaching…).

Winners never quit and quitters never win, but those who never win and never quit are idiots.

Go read Seth Godin’s Predictably Irrational. Quitters do win in fact that is why they win. They quit doing thee things that distract them from being number one. Great Book.

There is a lot of good to be said about sports; physical conditioning, character building, etc

There is a downside to sports as well, as they seem to bring out the worst in certain people

played football for about a year and a half (sucked badly) in HS. quit mid year when the coach came into the locker room at half time with us getting whooped, he grabbed one of our larger linemen and throw him across the floor. and then told us we needed to get more physical with the other team. decided his style and mine were not compatable.
nothing I’ve seen, read, done or experecned since has changed my mind about that decision.
