Worried? Is bombing more fun or more productive than talking? More fun for guys in Des Moines or Tallahassee playing on the X-Box no doubt, the rest of the world not so much.

I’m waiting fot the first nuke-anabled drone to come out, if it hasn’t already. Then all those x-box players can really cheer when they play Duke-Nukeum!

USSR had nukes pointed at us for years.
Tho many wanted to, we did not invade.
But if you want to go and do something in Iran, may I buy your the plane tickets?

We still have thousands of nukes, Israel has hundreds, India and Pakistan have a few, and how many countries have reactors generating electricity? Only the U.S. has touted atoms for peace, and used ’em to blow anyone to pieces.

Folks are a lot more likely to be killed in the U.S. by a driver on a cell phone (adult no less, not a teen), or on the bottle, than by any nuclear accident, or bomb, or terrorist.

How many folks in how many countries can say that since WW II they were morel likely to be killed by American or Israeli weapons? Figure THOSE odds instead. Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, Colombia, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama, Egypt, Tunisia, Somalia, Yemen, Bosnia, Viet Nam, Indonesia (Timur), Korea, Laos, Cambodia, Pakistan, Dominican Republic, and then those “covert corporate wars” in west Africa, and a few others, yep, Iran is a real threat indeed.

You extrapolate from a false assumption.

swr: just a note: recording cell phone use, and even texting, has only recently been noted in accident reports. Now that information IS being gathered, and combined with a number of studies and “field tests”, you’re MUCH more likely to be killed by a texting driver than a drunk, and merely “more” likely to be killed by a driver on a hand held phone, and only mildly more likely to face danger from “hands free”. The drastic difference between phone use, and passengers is that passengers can see where they’re at, and judge their distraction.

Which, btw, had a “stupidrvisor” constantly complaining about my speed (not speeding, just a mountain road, and I raced in SCCA for 11 years, and helped teach pursuit driving so felt quite comfortable on other than a straight line freeway) yet on the way back he insisted on driving, turned to talk to a passenger in the rear seat, and despite my screaming at him, for some time!, only at the last moment did the pull back onto the right side of the road and avoid a head-on collision with a semi truck! So, I DO take your point about “passenger conversations” with a view toward how stupid some folks indeed ARE when ignoring their DRIVING!
