Republicans would have passed their own plan, except that they filibustered it.

Like Greece, Spain and all the other bankrupt countries with over 20% unemployment?

Actually, Barrakk just filibustered his own bill delaying it another year.
I guess he knows more than you about this looming disaster.

Romney Obama Care works just fine in Massachusetts, and has for a number of years. That’s a fact. It can be googled up and verified. Opinions, guesses about a foul future, racial and political insult, slander, libel and outright lies, why would people prefer such stuff to the truth?

Who’s ‘herding’ people and it what direction? Don’t you wonder sometimes…?

Obamacare is a GOP invention from way back.

“Obamacare is a GOP invention from way back.”

That is a myth being perpetuated by political viewpoint web sites to give their readers talking points. And, no, I don’t know why they would do it except to justify to the right that they should believe in the PPACA.

Here’s my plan: Lonecat Care: The Federal government establishes a few general principles, such as Everyone is covered, Plans are portable from state to state, and a few more. Then each state gets to set up its own system. Some might go for Romneycare, some might go for a single payer system, others might go for a public/private mix. This plan allows for innovation and experimentation, guarantees everyone coverage but protects states’ rights (for those who care). Eventually some plans would prove to be better than others, and those would spread. Or we can just keep on shouting at each other.

The answer to healthcare should have been fixing the parts that did not work, not trying to rebuild the entire system. If your car gets a flat tire you don’t restore the entire car. But the public and the republicans should foot the blame. The Democrats have wanted socilized medicine in his country for decades and the Republicans sat on their hands.
