Rose is Rose presents the extraordinary nature of everyday life as seen through the eyes of the Gumbo family. The strip stars child-at-heart Rose and her ASD (Attentiveness Surplus Disorder) husband Jimbo. Their gentle son Pasquale is watched over by his Guardian Angel who morphs from tiny cherub into gargantuan protector. Family kitten Peekaboo boasts that her humans are the cutest in town. Readers relish the romance in Rose and Jimbo's marriage, yet cheer the emergence of Rose's rebel alter ego, the fearless, wild and ready-to-roll Vicki the Biker

@Rug Ratz from yesterday: Even neutered cats will spray if they feel threatened. Is there another male who comes by your yard? Some folks arrange things so the cat can’t see other cats on the ground through the window. That’s hard. Cat tranquilizers do work often, and you can discontinue them after a few months as the cat learns becomes acclimated to the perceived threat. Apologies to others for my “cat clinic” posts.

A Huff, isn’t that one of those Scandanavian cars?

This say more about Jimbo than Peekaboo. He has problems at work but doesn’t bring them home to his family and chooses to tell the cat instead. Rose doesn’t hesitate to tell him all of her problems but he’s a considerate man and only tells the cat. Only in the comic strips or romance novels…sigh!

Yes, in the real world, a lot of men prefer to avoid telling their wives that they have problems (at work, with health, with investments) because they think that sharing a problem makes them look weak. And then they have a heart attack and die, and the wife is left with no knowledge of debts, etc. Sigh!

Oddly enough, cats tend to be the same way.

I tell the girlfriends everything. Misery shared is misery divided just as happiness shared is happiness multiplied. What’s wrong with you people?
