The strip stars child-at-heart Rose and her ASD (Attentiveness Surplus Disorder) husband Jimbo. Their gentle son Pasquale is watched over by his Guardian Angel who morphs from tiny cherub into gargantuan protector. Family kitten Peekaboo boasts that her humans are the cutest in town. Readers relish the romance in Rose and Jimbo's marriage, yet cheer the emergence of Rose's rebel alter ego, the fearless, wild and ready-to-roll Vicki the Biker

Rose wasted a coin. Punxsutawney Phil has already determined that we would have an early Spring.

@Mr Nobody
..immediately followed by a major winter storm, and a lesser storm, in our area. We’re thinking Groundhog Stew with a side of sushi (Nemo).

Global Warming will soon take care of these pesky winters.

@rpmurray
They’ve been saying that for 30 years now.
Judson Fredrickson said, 3 months ago
Actually, global warming has been happening for 14000 years; since the end of the “Little” Ice Age that covered the northern most third of the planet. So much for humanity’s impact. So, yes 10000 years from now, things will be much different. Not that we have anything to say about that.

So we’ve had the Ice Age….we are now entering the Nippy Era.

Global warming causes extremes of weather more than warmer weather overall.

Yeah, early spring… We have aforecast low of -28ºC tonight in Darkest Saskatchewan; spring can’t be more than 6 weeks away! :))

It’s been spring here for awhile here in California. Is that why there are a zillion people here? lol

@CHAZ.SHIELDS
And here in Darkest Saskatchewan, we’ve had the ten hottest summer on record in the last 13 years. The “lake” and creek that run through my neighbourhood flooded twice in 2011, and I hadn’t seen that in the 50 years I remember watching that creek. Our winters are wilder than ever, with cold/hot swings that never used to happen. -40 one day, up to -1, and then down to -40 or colder again, all within 36 hours. This winter has been north gales with cold, followed by south gales with warmth, wild weather swings every week.
Weather is what you see outside the window, while climate takes time. Our area’s weather has been weird for 10 years, and the climate is warming noticeably.

@Judson Fredrickson
The problem isn’t that the climate is slowly warming. The problem is that people are burning the planet’s resources, causing a RAPID rise in average temperature. The extra heat that huams are creating means that we are- no, we have caused an artificially rapid change in climate, and we are going to see our coastal cities under water within my children’s lifetimes. The effect we are continuing to create is going to make life impossible for ourselves. We are killing our own species with our behaviour.

Climate is what you expect.
Weather is what you get,
whether or not you like it.

An early spring is just wishful thinking.
