    My boyfriend says I’m our cats favorite…which he believes not to be fair since he rescued him, and is the one who feeds him.

    A cat’s favorite is the person least interested in said cat.

    Not true. Every cat I have had has bonded to me. My husband likes cats feeds them and takes care of them but all they do is sit at a distance and stare at him. He does not do anything to them but still they will not be his friend. It is hard to understand why.

    I understand it is the pitch (or the higher or lower) of the voice that cats like/dislike. From what was explained to me, they gravitate toward feminine voices versus deeper voices.

    All my cats love me except for our newest rescue-kitten who treats me like his chew toy.

    @AStarofDestiny

    That could explain it. My husbands beloved tom ignores him and comes to me. No matter how hard I ignore him. I don’t care for the cat that much. So of course, I’m the one he won’t leave alone.

    All these cat stories are convincing me it is far more rewarding to have dogs.
