I haven’t flown AA since 1987, this merger certainly won’t change that.

My son quit being a pilot probably over safety issues, like not enough sleep for pilots and flying anyway in hazardous weather. From some of the things he has said.

I chose to fly AA for years because of the excellent treatment I got on coming home from ’Nam. My last flight last year sucked. AA and US combining, just like Delta and Continental, and the monopolistic theory of “Reaganomics” and deregulation wins again, folks. Most of the small carriers and “regionals” were bought out years ago by the few “majors”, prices went up, routes were cancelled, and “we the people” got screwed again, and again, and again.

BTW, “union busting” like Reagan loved, and initiated with a passion with the ATC crowd, has led to unfriendly and dangerous skies, and it will only get worse.

I’ll miss all the USair slogans.

    “Hard to scare, fly USair”.

    “Time to spare, fly USair”.

    etc.
