To the casual observer, Bush, jr and Obama did the exact same things, so either both engaged in equally laudable behaviour or both engaged in equally reprehensible behaviour.

Of course, to the astute observer, Bush, jr was a paternal figure watching over us all, carefully monitoring Frog and Kraut communication, finding and thwarting (Top Secret, so we can’t tell anyone any of the details) plots by terrorists to use nuclear weapons, and thereby saving millions of Frog and Kraut lives, for which they owe Bush, jr a huge debt of merci and danke.

But when Obama does it, he’s just snooping on the private and intimate lives of the French and the Germans, and they have every right to be furious at his peeping into their most private lives.

The clear difference between their apparently identical actions should be absolutely obvious to anyone who does not have achromatopsiaca.

O’s MSM defenders are claiming “Obama didn’t know”…on Merkel and NSA spying and everything else since Fast & Furious!
Every US President has to sign off for authority of spy agencies to do this spying. Obama knew.
Is O playing a part? Which is he, Col. Wilhelm Klink?
    or Sgt. Hans Schultz?
O’s select administration power people have been busy sinking the USA Ship… sabotage under the alias “Policy”….

Just out of curiosity, russell5419, do you consider yourself a loyal and patriotic citizen of the United States? If so, how do you justify your wish for nothing but the worst for the President?

I’ve long taken off my rose-tinted glasses as regards Obama; but the US prez I remember with a “it’s my way or the highway line of thinking is more in line with being a Dictactor.(sic)” was the previous dude in office.

You have given absolutely no specifics about your charges against the President. Until you do, I have to assume that you have no real basis for your stand. However, you seem to be ready to toss out the procedures of the government of this country without a moment’s consideration. I didn’t approve of how the Bush-Cheney administration served this contry, but I never was willing to toss the whole thing in the trash bin. If you don’t like it, vote for what you want next year. If you get out-voted, maybe you should consider that that is the way this country works, i.e., majority rule with some protections for minority opinion.

    “……Kick Obama Out!……”
    That would be so constitutional!

Nice to see our deer comrade is still ranting about alternate history. The Germanic tribes were running for their lives. This guy named Attila pretty much overran Eastern Europe. The terrified Germans signed up as mercenaries for the Romans, who were just as terrified of the Huns. The Germans weren’t much help. Every bit they contributed to fighting Atilla was countered by their mischief when he wasn’t an immediate threat. It didn’t help that Rome had given up her previous policy of assimilating new groups in her territory & regarded the Germans as second-class citizens at best. Once the Huns were out of the picture, the Germans were able to topple the corrupt Roman oligarchy.

History will show Obama to be NOT “a president to be proud of”……IMO.

Never heard of Egyptian Hieroglyphics or Cuneiform?

I seem to recall the Greeks might have written a thing or two when Rome was still a backwater village. Greek traders traveled over much of Europe, especially anything accessible by water.
