We need a single scapegoat to take all the blame, and her name already starts with ‘S’, so she’s perfect.

It’s a pity these hearings in the House are just for show. It would be really interesting to learn who got awarded what, why, when, also who knows who, and lastly which person signed the project plan that stated that ALL of the testing would be done by one department of HHS.

We don’t know a lot at present, but what we know is that the decision to require registration came at a very late point in the project. But – as A SYSTEM – that makes a HUGE difference, especially when testing, transaction-wise. It changes the whole process, all dependencies between webserver, databseserver, mailserver and external resources and systems (like SSN-verification). It’s two completely different things!

I also would like to know how they tested the connections and “load”. Sec. Sebelius said they took four times the volume of the Medicare Part D rollout. Well, that means NOTHING! What “volume”?, the mere megabytes of data, without forming meaningful transactions? And you have to test it using millions of computers, with millions of different records, otherwise you get caching effects on all levels, and i don’t think anybody tested it this way.

I know what I’m talking about. For month i got nightly SMS alarms from a system we designed poorly and couldn’t really test until it went life. Only then did we see our mistake and understood – after a long, hard debugging-phase – how to get it right. it works now, just, and the Obamacare website will as well, but a comprehensive investigation into this mess – apolitical, please! – would be in order…

Who did Bush fire over the Medicare D roll out that was a fiasco for the first few months?, I’m drawing a blank. Maybe he didn’t because the scope was so much smaller.

Here is the important question. “Who changed the order of the web site so close to the dead line?” Originally we were told that you could look up, window shop as you might call it, with out filling out to many forms. But someone from the top saw the prices. Can not have that until the person has some stake in the game. Must make them give as much information as we can, then they will be behind a wall and less able to comparison shop. That change is what set the web site into the death spiral. That change is what is very dishonest. That change make Obama out to be il informed or an out right LIAR!
That is the 1st head that needs to roll. The one who changed the wed site in order to hide the horrible prices. “If you like your doctor you can keep him” The average family will save money" are turning very hollow and this site would have show cased those ideal spouted out by the campaign president.

Heads should have rolled when Republicans mandated Medicare could NOT EVER negotitate drug prices, like VA does.

The “headsman” should have been occupied for a long time in 2003 when all the lies from so many, in the “W” administration, were proven to be lies, that were well known for over a year BEFORE the Iraq invasion!

Was the computer program screwed up? YES! Get over it, and think about “Windows 95” and Bill Gates. He made billions even though the “rollout” was a failure. But now Microcrash still is the leading OS, even though it is STILL far more flawed than MAC! (Yes, and even MAC finds flaws with each new “upgrade”- it’s part of the system creaed by humans, who, even like computers, ARE subject to “error”!

CBS This Morning host Jan Crawford: “Industry analysts, like Jonathan Wu, point out the website lumps people only into two broad categories: 49 or under, and 50 or older. Prices for everyone in the 49 or under group are based on what a 27-year-old would pay. In the 50 or older group, prices are based on what a 50-year-old would pay.

We ran the numbers for a 48-year-old in Charlotte, North Carolina ineligible for subsidies. According to, she would pay $231 a month. But the actual plan on BlueCross BlueShield of North Carolina’s website costs $360 – more than a 50 percent increase. The difference: BlueCross BlueShield requests your birthday before providing more accurate estimates.

The numbers for older Americans are even more striking. A 62-year-old in Charlotte, looking for the same basic plan, would get a price estimate on the government website of $394. The actual price is $634. […] industry executives we talked to literally could not believe the government is providing these estimates, which they said were useless, and could easily mislead consumers. […] the website repeatedly states the actual prices could be lower, but it makes no mention they could be higher.”

Perhaps more focus should be on the Koch brothers, who organized the government shutdown costing the American economy over 24 billion dollars. The economic repercussions continue, and the Koch brothers should be held accountable!

The so called “Obamacare” is a series of insurance reforms along with a mandate that people buy insurance from private companies. You will find the answer to your question by looking what happens to people who currently scam private insurance companies.

I’d fire the Republicans who have resisted healthcare reform through five Democratic and one Republican president going back to Wilson.
