That’s what you get when you setup a taxing authority with more power then the average citizen.

No one has explained yet just WHY the Tea Party – which is nothing more than a political entity to begin with, with absolutely NOTHING to offer worthy of Tax Exemption – should even be applying for an exemption in the first place.

But then again . . . no one has come up with a reason for a bunch of spoiled brats who never grew up; know absolutely NOTHING about the Constitution they despise and want to overthrow; and otherwise have no grasp of history, law, or any other pertinent subject, to claim to be a political party either.

Ooooops! I forgot! “Young Republicans” do get – chronologically anyway – older as the years go by; and, the once upon a time Grand Old Party IS, now, nothing more than a claque of Grouchy/Greedy/Grasping OLD Pols, who can’t seem to be able to approach the reality of the 21st Century; so . . . . Ah! Yes! As with remnants of the old – 18th Century – Bourbon Dynasty, learning nothing and forgetting nothing, they mill around doing nothing of any worth or value, while time marches on!

Well, that’s a cute concept. How would you suggest the government collect taxes, then? Asking politely? Frowning sternly when someone decides not to pay them?
It’d be funny if your employer decided that you have that much right to collect your paycheck.

and IRS is hiring thousands of new agents to exercise the new powers Obamacare gives them beginning Jan. 1, 2014.
    Orwell’s “1984” wasn’t a false prediction for the USA.
The Democrats believe they have total CONTROL over every American, pay, benefits, diet, the “right Leftwing views”, etc.

Well now, when it comes down to “put up or shut up”, perhaps you will explain how and WHY any part, or all, of the Tea Party should be given a Tax Exemption, under 501c4, or, for that matter, any other section of the IRS code.

The IRS Code has forbidden for decades – and still does specifically forbid – any recipient of IRS Tax Exemption to engage in what are known as “direct political” actions/efforts – such as telling anyone receiving “benefits” from exempt funds WHO TO VOTE FOR, or HOW TO VOTE, in any particular contest, for just 2 specific examples, which is exactly what a POLITICAL PARTY does.

Now your claim is that, this is “. . . power to target a group of citizens because they have a specific political point of view.” That is a “meaningless meme” if ever I’ve read one. Or to put it in words even you might be able to understand: Hog swill!

To become exempt from taxes, under any of the 501c sections, one must be offering “benefits” OTHER THAN MERE POLITICAL POINT OF VIEW, or POLITICS. And, again, this has been IRS Code for some decades – throughout at least 5 of which up to now I have been involved with 501c entities, and have received IRS materials concerning any and all amendments, changes, etc., to such Code.

With NOTHING by way of “benefits” to offer, other than being a POLITICAL PARTY, just WHY should the Tea Party, or any “subordinate” thereof – calling itself “Patriots”, or whatever – be given a tax exemption in the 1st place? And what is there about investigating such application that in any way whatsoever, constitutes “abuse” of any kind?

    Put up, or shut up!
