    This guy is pure slime. I hope the women voters in S.C. take a “Lysistrata” stand as a threat to any men that would vote for him.

    Unfortunately it’s a red district, and was his district once. It appears SC Republicans are airing massive commercials, not for him, but against Ms. Busch. Still, I hope she wins.

    @Nantucket19

    You have to understand, the CONservatives are still mad that Clinton wasn’t removed from office by the philanderer in chief gingrich. Remember it was the little lizard who aggressively pushed the investigation that led to the lie for which Clinton was impeached (impeachment is not removal from office it is merely a political circus act in one house of congress) all the while doing far worse than what the little lizard was persecuting his political rival for. I think that fits the definition of double standards and hypocrisy. And since those are the domain of the “conservatives” they are mad their tactics didn’t succeed. And they cry that “liberals” hold a grudge against baby bush for the devastation he wrought upon this country and the world.

    onguard said “Thank Bill Clinton for lowering the Bar.”
    ScottPM said “Clinton lowered the bar so much that it’s on the floor (or maybe underground).”

    Gingrich was cheating on his wife while he was presiding over Clinton’s impeachment trial. He cheated on each of his ex-wives. As governor, Sanford ditched his duties and constituents to spend time with the woman he was cheating on his wife with on another continent. They still have political careers in the party that professes to be all about the “family values.”

    Clinton didn’t do anything illegal and didn’t leave the country.

    @howgozit: I hope you do not occupy a managerial capacity. If so, I would guess that turnover of employees would be a constant nightmare for you. Just can’t say anything without being ugly. I hope life goes better for you in the future.

    “The GOP has pulled its support of Sanford. For the most part, Republicans step down and Democrats are celebrated for indiscretions.”

    For the most part, your assertion is BS. Republicans had financially backed Sanford’s congressional election campaign despite his previous actions. The Republicans withdrew their support within hours of the revelation his ex-wife had filed a court complaint accusing him of trespassing at her home. Let’s not forget that Gingrich is still an influential politician years after his infidelities were known.

    You either missed my point, or you avoided it. Onguard and ScottPM asserted that specifically Bill Clinton has “lowered the bar”. That is a load of crap. Infidelity knows no politics. There is no shortage sexual impropriety on either side of the isle. To suggest any different is dishonest.

    Look up Mel Reynolds. The Democrats fully funded him after he was arrested for child molestaion and production of child porn. They didn’t drop him until he was convicted. Also look up Jerry Studds who traveled out of the US with an underaghed male paige and had sex with him and was supported for re-election for multiple terms until he retired.
