The Gardner Museum in Boston has 13 empty picture frames where $500 M of paintings stolen in 1990 once hung. Les and Helen Brown of Long Beach, Calif., were born on the same day, were married for 75 years, and died one day apart in July 2013. In 1911, the Bonnot Gang invented the getaway car when they robbed the Societe Generale Bank in Paris and fled in a stolen 10 horsepower Delauney-Bellville limousine.
